Cycling

Follow the links on the left for accounts of individual outings and other bike related stuff. These are not the only expeditions I've undertaken - but they are the ones I've taken the time to write up.
There is an excellent website - www.bikely.com - for finding cycle routes worldwide that others have undertaken and logged. In many cases GPS tracks are available for downloading. I've uploaded a few myself.
I own a Focus Cayo 2006 model that I bought from Wiggle in May 2006. This was my primary means of transport to and from work for the lighter months until the autumn of 2009 and has clocked up about 9000 miles in all weathers. It's showing the wear and tear a bit now but is still a fine bike to ride.
I also have a Ridgeback Velocity that I bought a few years before. It's getting a bit rusty - but is still serviceable. This is now my primary to and from work since I changed jobs and now work in town. When I started cycling to work in 2004 (or was it 2003) it was this what I used. I also used it for for the Land's End to John O'Groats ride in 2010. I've probably done about 5000 miles on it in total.
